Strategic Planning of an Underground Mine with Variable Cut-off Grades
, , and BibTeX reference
In this paper, we present a mixed integer programming model for solving the long-term planning problem of an underground mine. This model establishes the sequence of mining for a period of 20 years. This involves determining which lens of the geological model will be extracted and in what order, while respecting the production capacity of equipment. To reduce the computation time, several different strategies are proposed.
