Yichuan Ding is currently an assistant professor in the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University. He obtained his bachelor degree from the Mixed Honored Class in Zhejiang University, China. He got his master degree from the Department of Combinatorics and Optimization in University of Waterloo, and his PhD degree from the Management Science & Engineering Department at Stanford University in 2012. He worked in the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia as an assistant professor from 2012 to 2019. His research interests include operations research methods, mainly optimization and stochastic modeling, as well as their applications in public sectors, including cadaver kidney exchange and allocation policies, affordable housing management, emergency department management, outpatient and surgical scheduling, U.S.-Canada border-crossing, etc. He has collaborated with many public agents, including public housing authority, hospitals, policy departments, and organ transplant organizations. He has published on top-tier academic journals including Operations Research, Mathematics of Operations Research, and Manufacturing & Service Operations Management.
