This paper presents the application of extremum seeking to steer a periodic system to orbits that maximize a given functional. The problem is posed as a real-time optimal trajectory generation where
differential flatness allows one to completely parameterize the trajectories by assigning paths in the flat output space.

Two Queues in Series with Cross-trained Workers |
|
Sapna Isotupa, Wilfrid Laurier University, School of Business and Economics, School of Business and Economics, Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, N2L 3C5
Consider two queues in series with finite waiting space and N cross trained workers who rotate between the two queues. The problem is to determine a policy for server movements that minimizes the loss probability. The problem is modeled as a semi-Markov decision problem and solved using linear programming.

This paper deals with the stabilization and robust stabilization for descriptor systems with Markovian jumps and Wiener process. Our objective is to design, via a LMI optimization problem, a state feedback controller that guarantees the regularity, impulse-free and stochastic mean-square stability of the closed-loop system. The robustness problem is also tackled.

In this paper, we deal with the stability and robust stability, for the stochastic descriptor
systems with Markovian jumps. Based on LMI technique, the proposed approaches derive sufficient
conditions that guarantee that the closed-loop dynamics is regular, impulse-free and stochastically stable or robust stochastically stable in the case of norm-bounded uncertainties.
