An Empirical Investigation on Supply Chain Management and Economic Performance |
Fouad El Ouardighi, ESSEC Business School, Logistics, Production and Service, Cergy Pontoise, France Pietro de Giovanni, ESSEC Business School, Ph.D. Program, BP 105, Cergy Pontoise, France, 95021 This paper examines the empirical relationship between Supply Chain Management and economic performance. The effectiveness of SCM is investigated by probing three criterions: operational, customer, and economic performance. Using a large sample of French firms, an empirical analysis is developed by means of Structural Equation Modelling and multi-group analysis. The findings have both theoretical insights and practical implications. |

The performance vector incorporates recent advances made in Life Cycle Assessment and Environmental regulations. The model is tested and results presented. |
