On July 6, the jury of the Spanish Society of Statistics and Operational Research (SEIO) – BBVA Foundation 2022 Prizes decided to award the prize for the best applied contribution in operational research to Gilbert Laporte, Marie-Ève Rancourt, Jessica Rodríguez -Pereira and Selene Silvestri, for their article Optimizing access to drinking water in remote areas.
